Bread Care
Bread Care Guide
At The Nourishing Loaf, every item is made fresh in small batches using simple,
nourishing ingredients. Because our breads are free from preservatives, proper storage
helps you enjoy them at their very best. Here’s how to keep your bread fresh, soft, and
delicious.
Sourdough Care Tips
Our sourdough is naturally fermented, giving it a beautiful crust and deep flavor.
- Store at room temperature in a bread bag, cloth bag, or loosely wrapped.
- Keep cut side down on a cutting board for best freshness.
- Best enjoyed within 2–3 days.
- For longer storage, slice and freeze.
-
To refresh: lightly sprinkle with water and warm in the oven at 350°F for 5–10
minutes.
- Avoid refrigeration, as it can dry out the bread faster.
Fresh Milled Flour Sandwich Bread Care
Made with freshly milled flour, this bread is soft, wholesome, and naturally
nourishing.
- Store tightly wrapped or in an airtight container at room temperature.
- Best enjoyed within 3–4 days.
-
Because it contains no preservatives, freeze if not eaten within a few days.
- Slice before freezing for easy use.
- Toasting brings back freshness and enhances flavor after the first day.
