Meet the Baker
I'm a mom of two busy boys, and like most days, life can feel a little loud, a little messy, and always moving fast. Somewhere in the middle of that beautiful chaos, I found bread.
What started as a simple way to feed my family turned into something much more. Baking became my way to slow down, to be present, and to create something nourishing with my hands. There's something grounding about mixing flour, water, and time, and watching it turn into something warm and comforting.
Here in Bath, PA, I bake for families across the Lehigh Valley using ingredients I feel good about serving at my own table. I source all my eggs and honey from local farmers, mill fresh white wheat berries, and also use organic King Arthur bread flour in my bakes.
Every loaf I make is baked in my home kitchen with care, intention, and a whole lot of love. The Nourishing Loaf is a home-based Lehigh Valley microbakery in Bath, PA, and my hope is that when you bring one into your home, it brings a moment of peace to your table too.
Why It Matters
Better bread starts with better ingredients, more time, and a slower way of making food.
Sourdough uses time instead of shortcuts. The slow fermentation process helps break down gluten, making it gentler on your stomach and richer in flavor.
Fresh milled flour is ground right before baking, keeping all the natural nutrients, fiber, and flavor that are often lost in store-bought flour.
This isn't fast food bread. It's made with intention, patience, and simple ingredients, just like it used to be.
Fun Fact
Most store-bought flour can sit on shelves for months before you even bring it home. Fresh milled flour is used immediately, while it's still full of life and nutrients.
